✦ Getting Here ✦

Deep in the
Sainj Valley

Shangarh sits at the heart of the Sainj Valley in Kullu district, gateway to the Great Himalayan National Park. The journey here is itself part of the experience — winding mountain roads, terraced wheat fields, and pine-scented air.

How to Reach

By Car:
Follow the Delhi-Manali highway until you reach the Aut Tunnel. Take the right turn towards the Sainj-Neuli road without crossing the tunnel. Then follow the link road towards Shangarh, just ahead of the Ropa Forest Complex.

By Bus:
Take any bus going towards Manali and get down at the Aut Tunnel before crossing it. From this point, Shangarh is 28 km. Here, take the bus going towards Sainj. From Sainj, only one bus runs to Shangarh, which leaves at 4 PM. So, we advise you to adjust your travel plans accordingly.

Alternately, you can take a taxi from Sainj to Shangarh Retreat for ~INR 800.

From Joginder Nagar Railway Station: 125 km, 1.5 hrs, ~INR 6,000 for a taxi to Shangarh Retreat.

From Bhuntar Airport: 52 km, 1.5 hrs, ~INR 2,700 for a taxi to Shangarh Retreat.

Note: Online maps are not reliable in the valley. If you need more details, please contact the property.
